The World Forum for Democracy is a unique platform for political decision-makers and activists to debate solutions to key challenges for democracies worldwide. By identifying and analyzing experimental initiatives and practices, the Forum highlights and encourages democracy innovations at the grassroots and their transfer on a systemic level in order to strengthen the foundations of democratic societies. The Forum thus contributes to the evolution of democracy towards more participatory and inclusive structures and institutions.

As every year also in 2019 the Alumni of the Visegrad School of Political Studies attended the World Forum for Democracy 2019, held from 6 to 8 November in Strasbourg, France. This year Forum will attempt to answer the question of whether is democracy in danger in the information age.

On November 7th the Alumni of the Visegrad School of Political Studies met with Ambassador Janusz Stańczyk, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Poland in Strasbourg.

On November 8th  the Alumni of the Visegrad School of Political Studies met with Boglárka Benko, the Lawyer in the European Court of Human Rights.

The diploma ceremony took place in the Hemicycle, Palais de l’Europe, in the presence of Ms Marija Pejčinović Burić, Secretary General of the Council of Europe.
