On 26th of April 2017, the Visegrad School of Political Studies and Transparency International in Bosnia and Herzegovina jointly organized the round table „Transparency and accountability as mechanism of anti-corruption activities” in Sarajevo as a part of the Western Balkans Anti-corruption Forum.
50 representatives of NGO, public administration and social activists discussed main issues of improving understanding of transparency and accountability principles, which are an important part of the fight against corruption. Another topic of the round table was the creation of platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience, as well as understanding of various perspectives and needs. Participants had a chance to discuss differences between anti-corruption laws in European Union and Western Balkans states and importance of new anti-corruption procedures for the future accession of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the EU.
The meeting was organized within the support of the International Visegrad Fund and the Council of Europe.
