On 5 – 9 June, the Visegrad School of Political Studies hosted participants from the Visegrad countries and Russia during the June session of the VSPS Meets Russia initiative. The program, titled “Empowering Civil Society” is created for representatives of NGOs and civic activists. By sharing experience, analyzing common challenges and issues, as well as discussing shared objectives in strengthening social bonds, the participants created an international network. During the practical workshops, such as public speaking, social campaigns, leadership and team management, the participants have gained a numerous of new tools, necessary for their work in civil society organization. Equipped with these tools, they will be able to make a positive changes in their environments and to empower their peers.
The program was held in Warsaw – perfect city to observe different dimensions of Polish culture and positive changes have been made. Warsaw is a good example of improvement and stability.
Thanks to the participants’ motivation, knowledge and passion, the week was not only intensive and productive, but also enjoyable. We believe, that the forum of dialog, launched during the VSPS Meets Russia Program, will continue to prove beneficial for the future initiatives of the participants.
